Why is iTunes no longer recognizing my iPhone 5S?. Are You sir and mam own that kind of concern?, If do then please read the good tips right after this line:

First, restart your computer while holding down COMMAND-OPTION-p-r. Wait until you hear the startup chime 3 times before letting go. This resets your Programmable Random Access Memory (PRAM), which is persistent across restarts. It is possible (although a little unlikely) the problem could be do to a setting in this area. It costs nothing to try and it won’t hurt anything.

Try a different cable. The fact the phone is being recognized, but not the way it used to be recognized suggests you might have a cable going bad. Again, unlikely, but easy enough to try.

If none of that works, I’d stop short of doing a Factory Reset. Instead, take it to an Apple Store and have an Apple Genius look at it. They have special diagnostic tools they can run to see if something is going on with the device.
