Hi Tina, you can send direct messages in Instagram only from mobile devices such as phones or tablets. Instagram for PC is rather pure you can only see photos and like them that`s all.

You can`t see direct messages on your laptop, only profiles and your feed.

Instagram cannot open by chrome. You have to use instagram id for it.
