Are you going buying a new Mac soon?. Are You guys has that kind of query?, If yes then please found the best solution below:
Most likely, yes.
I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012). This computer has served me very well. I've put a 1TB SSD in it, removed the DVD drive and replaced it with a second hard drive, and expanded the RAM as far as I can, and it's been a hell of a good machine.
It's traveled all over the world with me. I've written three “official” books and three books under a pseudonym on it. I've developed software on it. I've played nearly a thousand hours of Skyrim on it. I've beaten Garrosh Hellscream in the Siege of Orgrimmar raid in World of Warcraft on it. I've edited crowdfunding movies, written microcontroller code, and used it to do presentations at countless conferences and events. It is hands-down the best computer I've ever owned, and I've owned hundreds of computers, including machines most people have never even heard of.
But it's showing its age. The core i7 is now several generations out of date. It was the last generation of MacBook Pro to have a conventional rather than a Retina display. The SSD is SATA rather than PCI. It's flipping heavy. That matters when I'm traveling all over Europe on foot.
The new generation of MacBook Pro, which is an amazing machine, outperforms it by leaps and bounds on every axis. Unfortunately, the machine I want to replace it with (core i7, 16 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD, upgraded graphics, upgraded VRAM) is about three thousand dollars and change, and I am a writer for a living, which means money is something I ain't exactly rolling in. I'm planning to get a new MacBook Pro by the end of the year, but it will take some planning and saving.
