If AI has difficulty in showing causality, then why do intelligent people believe that AI can achieve human intelligence and consciousness?. Do You Mrs or Mr own this kind of inquiry?, If do then please get the good answer below this line:

Because those people are optimistic, and they have reason to believe that AI will continue to make progress given its past successes.

Understanding causality at a human-like level may require human-like intelligence. In other words, understanding causality may be an AI-complete kind of task. Thus an AI might not be able to display such understanding until it is much more human-like than it is today.

Understanding causality like humans requires the ability to observe the world like humans, accumulate experience like humans, and manipulate those experiences in the imagination like humans. Even though computers can’t do those things yet, most experts still believe that they will some day.

A lot of tasks seem difficult in AI but have been achieved anyway. In the long run, understanding how the brain works and imitating it on computers may just be another one of those tasks. One day it won’t be solved, and the next day a threshold will be crossed and it will. Until then, we can just imagine such success.
